I am a fully qualified counsellor and a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), www.bacp.co.uk
In addition to a private practice I am also the Project Manager for YMCA Dialogue Counselling in Guildford providing counselling for young people. I.also have experience counselling students at Portsmouth University and working as an Addictions Counsellor and Group Facilitator at `SAdAS' (Southern Addictions Advisory Service, now called CATALYST), where I saw clients with drug,alcohol and other addictions, as well as family and friends affected by these issues. Additionally, I spent several years as a Counsellor and Trustee for a community based charity called `Open Door Counselling Services' where I saw clients with a variety of issues.
I have experience in many areas including, depression, stress, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, abuse, low self-esteem or low confidence, mental health issues, Bipolar Disorder, Asperger's, anger management, relationships, bullying, bereavement, childhood issues, sexual abuse, trauma and chronic illness.
